Q1: On which platforms is Lartic’s Membership Manager running/supported ?

A1: Membership Manager is supported on Windowsr XP Home and Professional  editions although it may run on previous versions of  Windows®.

 

Q2: How do I install Lartic’s Membership Manager?

A2: Insert the CD into your PC CDROM unit. If Autorun is enabled the Setup program will start automatically. Otherwise run mm_setup.exe from the CD you received and follow the prompts. PDFCreator and Adobe Reader should  also be installed.

 

Q3: Will this DEMO version ever expire?

A3: No, it will never expire, you may use it for how long you want, however the printing function is locked and can be unlocked by purchasing a license (activate the software).

 

Q4: Can I import my existing records into Membership Manager?

A4: No, but we plan an import function for the future releases of the software; however during the configuration and training period  we can help you import your existing records.

 

Q5: Is Maintenance Support Agreement required?

A5: No, it is not, however  we do recommend it as it will give you access to future software enhancements and priority support.

 

Q6: What is PDFCreator ?

A6: PDFCreator is a FREE, third party Open Source software, created by Philip Chinery and Frank Heindorfer and used by Membership Manager to generate previews for all the reports, in industry standard - PDF format.  It can be installed from the CD or downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/.  Once installed it may be used to create PDF documents from any application capable of printing.

 

Q7: What is Adobe® Reader® ?

A7: Acrobat® Reader® is a FREE, third party software, developed by Adobe® Systems Incorporated and is used by Membership Manager to preview all the reports. It can be installed from the CD or downloaded from www.adobe.com.

 

Q8: What is the initial program’s password ?

A8: The word  “password”.

 

Q9: When/where should I use the software serial number I received?

A9: If you want to purchase a license (activate the software) you have to enter the serial number you received in the activation screen, box number 2.
